GangPay Usage Policy

1. Purpose

This Usage Policy explains the rules and acceptable use standards for GangPay, a mobile application designed to help users create groups, track shared expenses, split bills, manage tabs, and calculate balances between friends, family members, colleagues, or other trusted groups.

2. Acceptance of This Policy

By using GangPay, you agree to use the app responsibly and in accordance with this Usage Policy, our Privacy Policy, and any other applicable terms or guidelines. If you do not agree with this policy, you should not use GangPay.

3. Intended Use

GangPay may be used to:

  • Create and manage shared expense groups
  • Create expense lists, tabs, and shared cost records
  • Add expenses, receipts, descriptions, images, and notes
  • Calculate who paid, who owes, and who should receive money
  • Track informal balances between group members
  • Support personal, social, travel, event, and household expense sharing

4. No Financial Institution Services

GangPay is not a bank, payment institution, money transfer service, credit provider, investment platform, or financial advisor. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, GangPay only helps users organize and calculate shared expenses.

Any actual payment, money transfer, reimbursement, or settlement between users takes place outside GangPay or through third-party services where applicable.

5. User Responsibility

Users are responsible for:

  • Entering accurate expense information
  • Confirming amounts, currencies, dates, and participants
  • Ensuring that group members understand and agree to shared expenses
  • Resolving disputes directly with other group members
  • Keeping account login information secure
  • Using GangPay only for lawful and appropriate purposes

6. Prohibited Use

Users must not use GangPay to:

  • Commit fraud, deception, theft, or financial abuse
  • Harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm another person
  • Upload illegal, offensive, abusive, discriminatory, or harmful content
  • Share another person’s private information without permission
  • Create false expenses or misleading balance records
  • Use the app for money laundering, illegal gambling, or unlawful transactions
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, reverse engineer, or overload the app
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools without permission
  • Violate applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights

7. Group Content and Shared Information

Information added to a group, tab, expense list, receipt, note, or image may be visible to other members of that group. Users should avoid uploading sensitive, confidential, or private information unless they are comfortable sharing it with the relevant group members.

8. Receipts, Images, and Uploaded Files

Users may upload images, receipts, or related files to support expense tracking. Users must ensure that uploaded content does not violate privacy rights, intellectual property rights, or applicable laws.

9. Currencies and Calculations

GangPay may allow users to enter expenses in different currencies. Currency values, conversions, totals, balances, and split calculations are provided for convenience only. Users should verify all calculations before making any real-world payments.

10. Disputes Between Users

GangPay does not control the relationship between users and is not responsible for disputes about expenses, reimbursements, group participation, or payment obligations. Users are responsible for resolving such disputes directly.

11. Account Security

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activity under their account. If you suspect unauthorized access, you should immediately update your login credentials and contact GangPay support.

12. Notifications and Reminders

GangPay may send notifications about group activity, expenses, balances, reminders, settlements, app updates, or security matters. Users can manage notification permissions through app or device settings.

13. Fair Use

GangPay may apply reasonable limits to accounts, groups, tabs, uploads, notifications, or usage volume to protect service quality, security, and platform performance.

14. Third-Party Services

GangPay may integrate with or link to third-party services such as payment providers, analytics tools, cloud services, advertising networks, or authentication services. Use of third-party services may be subject to separate terms and policies.

15. Advertising and Sponsored Content

GangPay may display advertising, sponsored cards, offers, or promotional content. Sponsored content should not be interpreted as financial advice, endorsement, or guarantee unless expressly stated.

16. Suspension or Termination

GangPay may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the app if a user violates this Usage Policy, misuses the service, creates security risks, violates the rights of others, or breaches applicable laws.

17. Service Availability

GangPay aims to provide a reliable service, but availability may be affected by maintenance, updates, technical issues, internet connectivity, third-party services, or events outside our control.

18. Changes to This Policy

GangPay may update this Usage Policy from time to time. Updated versions may be published within the app or on the GangPay website. Continued use of GangPay after an update means you accept the revised policy.
